In our business, we do a lot of work for hire, being subcontracted by various agencies. Today, we were booked by a company called Market Scale. They sent us to Massachusetts to work with VECNA Robotics, a company who were developing an AI based unit for use in warehouses. I was a bit skeptical at first, but watching these robots in action gave me an appreciation for the place of AI in the workplace. We even put their stopping power to the test (at the recommendation of the IT team) while filming some B-Roll, and those robots stopped on a dime!
