The cancellation of the Lewiston Auburn Film Festival has sent several local filmmakers scrambling to find a new spot to premiere their movies. And now, they’ve got a popular venue that is expected to draw hundreds of people. Dead at the Drive-In is coming, and the Hanover House will make its premiere.
The general manager of the Saco Drive-In says several of the films that were supposed to premiere at the LA Film Festival will be featured at the drive in in May.
Ry Russel tells us it’s a great opportunity for the drive in to give back to the community, while providing a venue for local filmmakers to premiere their work.
Details are still in the works, but you can buy advanced tickets for the May 9th and 10th festival at the Saco Drive-In for twenty bucks.
